I have a very disturbing story to tell you. I normally don't share stories like this one, but it is very sad and a story that needs to be told.

We were informed today by someone who adopted one of our Havanese Puppies that her puppy was killed by another dog. What a horrifying experience to go through. Our heart and tears go out to anyone who has lost a puppy in such a way.

She was in front of a dog rescue agency with her puppy when a dog that was adopted from the rescue group suddenly lunged at her Havanese and killed it. I am not saying that all rescue dogs are this way because that is not true. But please beware that when you receive a dog from a rescue group you do not know enough details of that animals background and it's behavior can be very unpredictable.

 

Rememeber, we only breed AKC Havanese puppies with the small bodies and baby-doll faces and we don't ever advertise in the newspaper. Our puppies are almost always spoken for long before they are ready for their new homes, so don't hesitate.
